True enough, Winsen only managed to cast his Thunderbreak Regent on his fourth turn the first big play of the game. Mahn Kead responded with his own Siege Rhino, netting him 3 life in the process. Not to be outdone, Winsen casts his thunderbreak regent on turn three only to be met with a quick demise by a Hero's Downfall.
Creatures are traded after an lengthy combat phase it appears that the game will end up in an extended stalemate until Mahn Kead manages to cast his first Rally the Ancestors of the match. Game 3
Game 3 opens with winsen playing a turn 1 Elvish Mystic followed by a turn 3 Thunderbreak Regent. A free attack is ensured for Winsen after Mahn Kead makes no play on his third turn. After three turns of inactivity, Mahn Kead plays his first spell of the game - Languish, clearing both the Mystic and the Regent.
Winsen makes no play on his fifth turn and Mahn Kead captializes on that by casting a seige Rhino. Winsen casts a Boon Satyr on Mahn Kead's end step and proceeds to attack. Mahn Kead decides to block with his Rhino, killing the Satyr. Winsen then casts Crater's Claws on the Rhino killing it as well.
A second thunderbreak Regent is met with an Hero's downfall again, after which Winsen casts Xenagos, God of Ravels. Desperate for creatures, he casts See the Unwritten on a empty board only to find a Rattleclaw Mystic. Finally gathering enough mana, Mahn Kead casts Rally the Ancestors for 4 during the end of Winsen's end step, bringing back two Siege Rhinos, two Nantuko Husk and a Grim Haruspex.
By sacrificing creatures to the Husk, Mahn Kead drew multiple cards off from the Haruspex netting him a very very big card advantage.
He proceeded to his turn and casted a morphed Grim Haruspex and a Siege Rhino. Due to the multiple Siege Rhino triggers, Mahn Kead is very far ahead in both terms of board presence and life total.
Things are looking grim for Winsen at this point. Fortunately, he draws into his second See the Unwritten of the game hitting Dragonlord Atarka and after comtemplating for a while, decides to kill the morph creature instead of the Rhino which was revealed to him as the morphed Grim Haruspex.
Even though Mahn Kead has a hand full of cards, he was unable to push the advantage further as the cards he drew were mostly lands. He passes the turn back to Winsen without making any play.
Winsen drew and played his seventh land and casts the other incaration for Atarka, with the God of Revels on the battlefiend to give the newly casted Atarka haste as well as a +6/+6, Winsen makes an attack for a whopping 40 damage with both dragons flying above the Rhino.sealing the game in one massive lethal attack.
